Meet Angela Chalmers from Latch on Lanarkshire

Angela is a certified lactation consultant who has supported hundreds of families across Lanarkshire through the early weeks of feeding — the beautiful moments and the really hard ones.

Her approach is warm, honest, and completely non-judgmental. She meets you where you are and gives you the tools and confidence to feed your baby your way.

If you need further support after the workshop, Angela also offers one-to-one consultations at her home clinic in Chapelhall — covering breastfeeding, lactation support, and tongue-tie (Frenulotomy) assessments.

Good to Know Before You Book

Best time to attend: This workshop is ideal from 30 weeks pregnant onwards — you'll have time to take it all in before your baby arrives, without it feeling too far away to be real.

What to wear: Come as you are — just make sure you're comfortable. Think leggings, not jeans.

How long is it: The session runs from 6–7pm and is roughly one hour, though Angela may run a little over if there are questions. We'd rather give you the full picture than cut things short.

The cost: Just £6 per person. Every single penny of profit goes directly to Bear Necessities, a brilliant local Airdrie charity. So you're getting expert support and doing something good at the same time.

Angela also runs a free postnatal infant feeding support group every Monday during term time. It's a relaxed, welcoming space to get help with feeding, ask questions, and meet other mums who get it.
